Dr. Barbara Abercrombie is the Principal consultant and Owner of Abercrombie Consulting, LLC. She has extensive experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on employee engagement, generational cohorts in the workplace and change management. In addition to her consulting work, Barbara is the Vice President of Human Resources at the Housing Authority for the City of Tulsa where she oversees all aspects of HR, compliance, safety and risk management.
Barbara has her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University and went on to obtain a master’s degree in human resources from the University of Oklahoma, and a doctorate in workforce education and human resource development from Oklahoma State University. For the past twenty years, Dr. Abercrombie has worked in the field of higher education, holding the positions of HR Director at NSU and OU Tulsa, Associate Vice Chancellor of HR at the University of Arkansas, Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Chief HR Officer at Texas A&M University and as Vice Chancellor of Organizational Effectiveness and Chief Human Capital Officer for the University of North Texas System in Dallas.

Tery DeShong is a long-time Oklahoma attorney with experience in a wide variety of roles including Title IX investigations, management, employee development and corrective action, conducting hearings, writing bylaws and policy, and conducting training. She is experienced in strategic planning, program and nonprofit management and is an expert in time management and organizational skills. Her trainings include the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employment law, and legal ethics and she has been a keynote speaker at state-wide conferences. Ms. DeShong brings her breadth of knowledge in investigations and in the management arena to Abercrombie Consulting, LLC.

Amy Abercrombie is the Organizational Dynamics and Administration Consultant at Abercrombie Consulting, LLC. Amy has extensive experience in management and administration with a specific focus on team leadership and dynamics. In addition to her work for Abercrombie Consulting, LLC, Amy works as a Project Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University and went on to earn a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Jake Abercrombie is the Development and Technology consultant at Abercrombie Consulting, LLC. With nearly 15 years of experience in information technology and software development across several industries including Healthcare, Logistics, Education, and others. Jake has architected and developed solutions in all major cloud platforms, including Amazon’s AWS and Microsoft’s Azure, and for legacy-to-cloud moves while adhering to regulatory limitations. He is also highly skilled in translating end user needs into agile frameworks and developable goals for continuous integration and deployment.
